About Ecem Naz Genc Ciftci

Hello, I'm Ecem Naz.

I was born and grew up in Turkey, I came to the UK for my university internship and I was working at the University of Stirling in Scotland for my graduate research. Recently I moved to London for my PhD.

I did my undergraduate education at Yeditepe University and graduated with a high honors degree.

At the same time, I did a minor in the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts.

Then I started my master's degree in Sports Science at Ondokuz Mayıs University and completed in 2022. Meanwhile, I was a researcher at the University of Stirling studying carbohydrate and protein metabolism.

During my time in Istanbul, I worked both in the clinic and in the sports club. In my clinic, I have worked with obstetricians, psychologists and psychiatrists, internal medicine specialists, bariatric surgeons, and have had a wide variety of patient profiles. At the same time, I was the team nutritionist of Defne Sports Club.

Due to the pandemic conditions, I switched to the online system and now I continue to meet to my counselees remotely via the online system.

 

I believe that the greatest solution to diseases is through nutrition. We don't need to get sick to pay attention to nutrition.

It's always in our hands to intervene before it's too late.
